For many, many
years teams of dedicated professionals in
Southeastern Massachusetts worked to
establish a Children’s Advocacy Center. The
hard work and dedication of many local
agencies, police departments and the
District Attorney’s office resulted in the
CAC opening its doors on 7/2/07.
The
Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County
is a child centered facility to assist child
victims of abuse and their families.
The Children’s
Advocacy Center of Bristol County is an
agency for community partners with a
collective expertise to participate in the
investigation of reported allegation of
sexual abuse, witness to violence and abuse
to disabled persons. The CAC places a very
high priority on the healing aspects for
victims of abuse and is committed to
assisting families in their healing of the
traumatic event. Teams of professionals
come together to investigate allegations of
abuse and assist families in the healing
process there after. Forensic interviews,
health services and resources assistance are
ways in which the CAC established
connections with families to assist them in
their time of need. |
